I grow my own vegetables every year, make my own compost, collect rainwater to use during the dry summer months, and reduce, reuse & recycle constantly. Even to the point of emptying the coffee grounds out of individual coffee tubs and also teabags. I also grow several plants in my back garden specifically for bees.

This year I have decided to collect rain water. Since we live in such a rainy place ,I am sure I will be able to water all my flower baskets and flower pots all through the summer with the rain I collect. I'm very excited to see how it all turns out. :)

I have decided to collect rain water to use for all my outdoor pots and hanging baskets, with the amount of rain we get I should be able to water all summer without using the hose :)

I hang my laundry on a clothesline instead of using god dryer.

Gardening with my grand-kids. They love to see things grow and love knowing their actions helped make it happen. Teaching them how to care for them from seed to table. Showing them that all food doesn't need to come from grocery stores. They can grow their own, and be proud gardeners.

I use small recycled jars for my spices, take my own bags shopping, and my husband uses cleaned-out cans as part of his hobby material.
April 14, 2014 | Loreen Hutchison

I relocated my business so I now drive my car only once per week for work.
April 14, 2014 | Jo-Ann Sullivan

I try to avoid items with too much packaging, and I always have my reusable bags with me. There is always a smaller fold up nylon bag in my purse.

I no longer require bags when I shop as I take my own.
