May 13, 2014 | My mom was a great lady who died way too young. I miss her everyday and still think "what would Mom

My Mom is not with us anymore but I treasure her in my heart each and every day . She gave me love and understanding and patience. I am so Blessed to now pass that on to my children and grandchildren who give it back to me 3 fold . There is no greater position in life than being a Mom and having the love of a Mom . I truly feel honored to have had my Mom and to have my children and Grandchildren.

My oldest and youngest grandsons came over last night to move some furniture for me. As they were leaving, and between the hugs, I was told that I only had to call them if I needed anything done. Adam assured me "That is what grandchildren are for" What a delight and comfort they are.

Once I was about 5 or 6, my mom never told me how to do things, she would make me try to figure things out on my own. She was always there to guide me when I messed up. I was annoyed and angry with her at the time. When she passed away shortly after I turned twenty, I was thankful for her method of teaching me how to figure things out for myself.

The best thing about my Mother is she lives in Kelowna and I still live Cloverdale. Just joking, LOL ha ha Really, our Mother taught us kids what unconditional love can do. Now a great grand mother she still sees us (all six of us) as her "kids". As the youngest I can say it makes you feel young when your mother calls you "the baby of the family" even though I'm over fifty now. I feel blessed and grateful for my Mum. Still going strong at 85. Mother's Day was made for a person like her.

It is wonderful watching your kids grow to adults.

I love being a mother - it gives me motivation to take better care of myself so I can take better care of her. I love seeing her grow and change.

What I love about my own 86 year old mother, is that she really was meant to be a mother. She has raised 3 generations of children, starting with us 4 kids, and ending with her 3 great grand children and she still is the "GO TO MOM/GRAN" for all of us. She is always there when you need her for consultation, to be consoled, and she has such an admiring ability to be non-judgmental while offering unconditional love. Even all of our friends from ages of 9-60+ still greet her, and want to hang out with her. She has such wicked sense of humor, strong moral values and I am incredibly grateful to be able to call her my MOM!

I loved being a Mom of two beautiful girls, but being a grandmother has been the most rewarding time of my life. My oldest grandson said "when I have kids I want them to be half serious and half fun and crazy like you" .He is 10. Who couldn't' love them more.I would like to say happy mothers day to my two lovely daughters for giving me these wonderful moments .

Being a mom and step-mom has been one of the greatest achievements of my life. I love watching each new discovery and seeing mundane things in a new light as I watch my son learn about them. I wouldn't give up a day of freedom for the new found wonder with my children.
May 9, 2014 | Courtenay Rimaldi

I love my mom because she gave me life by adopting me. The gift of life is nothing without nurturing parents... thank you mom! I hope I can give that to my newly born son. Thank you!

What I loved most about my mom was her unconditional love. She never judged and she never took sides. She was the sweetest person you could ever have the pleasure to know and I miss her dearly.
